On the evening of 4 March 2014, H.E Dr. Sam Nujoma, The Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation, and the Patron of these prestigious awards, awarded NaMedia with the Woman Innovator Award for 2014. At the awards, an extremely passionate Natasja Beyleveld (MD NaMedia) asked Dr. Nujoma for hug, and in turn received two. “I have always admired Dr. Nujoma, and in my mind I knew that on the first opportunity of meeting him, I would hug him with all the love I can bear”, said Beyleveld. She continued thanking her team, clients and family; “From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank each client, colleague, friend and family member for your continued support to Team NaMedia. Our acceptance of the Sam Nujoma Innovative Enterprise Development Award for the category Woman Innovator of 2014 last night, was awesome. We have experienced open heavens, and are humbled, excited, blessed and thankful. Clients’ hard work, innovation and passion inspire us, we celebrate this achievement with them, because without them it would not have been possible” adds Beyleveld. On interviewing one of the senior media analysts at NaMedia, Mrs. Julia Ya Kasita-Nalisa wholeheartedly supported Beyleveld by stating that “I am proud and honoured to have been part of this great team. The award serves as motivation to my team of analysts to work harder and to aim higher, because it seems that us Namibian women know what it takes (laughs)”. Beyleveld, who also received the Economist Young Business Woman of the Year 2013 award, started as an employee, became the leader of the company, took over the company (2011) and continues to view her job as her passion and purpose. NaMedia believes in investing back into society, as each “corporate company in Namibia needs to pay it forward, needs to care about those that have less and needs a fair chance in life”.
